There have been many memorable moments throughout the 2016 season with quarter-finals reached in both white ball competitions and the Specsavers County Championship Division Two title almost sealed. Essex fans have been treated to magical moments in all competitions with Ashar Zaidi’s 59 from 24 balls against Middlesex, Graham Napier’s stunning 124 to save the game at his home ground, Colchester and James Foster’s efforts to tie the game against Somerset are just some that spring to mind. Alongside that Nick Browne scored two double hundreds against Derbyshire in both Specsavers County Championship games, Matt Quinn took 11 wickets against Gloucestershire and James Fosters’ two stumpings against Kent.
