Essex County Cricket Club are deeply saddened to announce the passing of a Club Safety Steward, who sadly passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest ahead of this evening’s NatWest T20 Blast match against Kent Spitfires at The Cloudfm County Ground.
The Club would like to thank the emergency services for their tireless work in helping them, as well as the both sets of players, Club staff, security staff and supporters for all their assistance and patience throughout the night.
Everyone at Essex County Cricket Club would like to send their sincere condolences to the family and friends of a much-loved member of staff.
