Description:
We are pleased to announce the opportunity for a Performance Analysis Intern to join our performance and elite programmes for the 2026 season. This developmental role will include the opportunity work alongside the Lead Performance Analyst to code and analyse live cricket matches, with orientation and training provided. As part of the development programme, the role will include the allocation of a mentor (Lead Performance Analyst) who will provide the candidate with regular appraisals and professional support throughout the contracted period.
Roles & Responsibilities:
To undertake live coding of Essex Women, 2nd Team and Academy and Talent ID Fixtures. Development, and if required delivery, of pre-match scouting packs including video and statistical information. Provide support in introducing/delivering the team’s analysis philosophy to Academy/EPP program. Transportation and safe storage of analysis equipment. Provide support in research projects at request of Lead Performance Analyst. Assist in the completion of Senior and Academy analysis projects. Supporting Lead Performance Analyst in Pre-match prep and if required on game days Supporting the Lead Performance Analyst in the clubs retention and recruitment policy, identifying local and overseas player targets
Requirements:
Knowledge and Experience: Analytically focused individual with a sports science or data analytics background with a strong knowledge/understanding of cricket. Essential Attributes: Strong IT Skills including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Experience of using IP cameras, Presentation and video design skills, Effective written and verbal communication skills, Strong attention to detail and ability to process data accurately, Willingness to learn, Good organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines, Flexible attitude to working hours, Full UK Driving licence and ability to travel to/from the teams various training/game locations, Positive ambassador for the Club, embracing its values and culture. Desirable Attributes: Experience using PCS Pro/NV Play, London/East Region based.

Temporary Grounds Person

Description:
We are seeking two temporary grounds staff to join our dedicated and proactive grounds team for the 2026 summer cricket season. Based at the Ambassador Cruise Line Ground in Chelmsford, the role will involve the preparation and maintenance of the facilities used by the Essex Men’s and Women’s first teams and other representative squads of the club, as well as international teams. Roles & Responsibilities:
As part of a small and dedicated team you will be responsible for the professional preparation, management and maintenance of the Club’s playing and practice areas alongside other upkeep works/landscaping duties around the ground. 
Requirements:
Direct experience is not essential, however a horticultural background or qualification would be an advantage. In any event, you will need to show dedication, reliability, and a good team work ethic to enable our Grounds Team to maintain the first Class and international standards required at all times. This is a physically demanding role with a requirement to work some evenings and weekends.

Description:
We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity to join our dedicated and proactive grounds team at one of only 18 first class cricket headquarters grounds in the country. Based at the Ambassador Cruise Line Ground in Chelmsford, the role will involve the preparation and maintenance of the facilities used by the Essex Men’s and Women’s first teams and other representative squads of the club, as well as international teams. You may also be required to assist with the Club's satellite ground at Billericay. You will need to show dedication, reliability, and a good team work ethic to enable our Grounds Team to maintain the first Class and international standards required, in this physically demanding role. With an intense and busy playing/ practice schedule, which includes touring international teams, televised floodlit matches and sellout crowds, the applicant will need a highly professional attitude and standard of work.
Roles & Responsibilities:
As part of a small and dedicated team you will be responsible for the professional preparation, management and maintenance of the Club’s playing and practice areas alongside other upkeep works/landscaping duties around the ground. You may also be required to assist with the Club’s other external facilities (e.g. Billericay ground).
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the sports turf industry (Cricket Ground experience an additional advantage) plus a Level 2 qualification in Sports Turf or equivalent horticulture qualification.
