It was an incredible end to an incredible opening win at The Cloudfm County Ground as Essex defeated Durham by 44 runs on Sunday morning. One man who is never far from the action is Simon Harmer and his match figures of 10/136 once again showed his quality with the ball.
Harmy spoke after helping secure the win and was quick to share the praise across the whole team after key performances from Paul Walter and Sam Cook, plus most notably Ben Allison who struck a vital half-century in just his second Championship game for the Club.
The team now head to Edgbaston on Thursday in the LV= Insurance County Championship where Warwickshire await fresh from their win over Nottinghamshire.
