The first of three back-to-back games on the road started with a trip to Edgbaston in the LV= Insurance County Championship.
With a target of 256 set by Essex after heroics with the bat from Simon Harmer, Warwickshire’s Rob Yates struck a century to help the hosts to their target with 8 balls remaining.
