Will Buttleman finished unbeaten on 109* and Feroze Khushi 74* as the Essex Second XI roared to an impressive 10-wicket victory over Middlesex in a Second XI T20 South Group encounter at Garon Park, Southend.
Buttleman’s explosive knock came off 56 balls and in as many minutes, including 14 fours and 4 sixes. Meanwhile, Khushi looked equally at ease in the middle during his 41-ball stint, crashing 9 fours and clearing the ropes on 2 occasions.
Earlier, Middlesex had posted 181/8. Atharva Prasad top-scored with 70, while Jack Davies and wicketkeeper batter, Daniel O’Driscoll, both scored 35.
Ben Alison proved to be the pick of the Essex attack returning figures of 3/26, while hot prospect Jamal Richards, also looked in the mood, taking 2/45.
