Mel Hussain named in England Over-60s squad for Grey Ashes

 

Mel Hussain has been named in the England Over-60s squad that will travel to Australia next month to compete in the Grey Ashes.

Five 50-over ODIs are the highlights of the tour, that will take in a total of 14 matches against various hosting sides between Sunday 17 November and Sunday 15 December.

The first ODI will take place on Sunday 24 November at the Bradman Oval in Bowral, New South Wales, before further matches are scheduled in

Hussain forms part of an 18-strong England group, with the Three Lions going into the tour as the defending champions after triumphing 3-2 in the home 2023 series.

Outside of the Ashes, England finished second in the 2024 Over 60s World Cup in February before defeating Pakistan 3-1 in the recent English summer.

The two old foes have met 35 times in Over-60s cricket with England winning 23 times and Australia 10, alongside one draw and one tie.
