Chalkwell Park Incident: Further support

 

Following the tragic event that took place at Chalkwell Park, Southend this weekend, everyone at Essex Cricket sends our thoughts and condolences to the families, friends and communities that have been impacted.

Essex Cricket would also like to extend our thoughts and thanks to those members of the local cricketing family who rushed to the scene to help those impacted whilst their matches were taking place.

NHS Support

1. GP Referral

  • Your GP can refer you to counselling or mental health services such as IAPT (Improving Access to Psychological Therapies).
  • Services include CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), trauma-focused therapy, or counselling.
  • Self-referral is also available in many areas through local IAPT websites.

2. Crisis Mental Health Teams

  • Available via your local NHS Trust for urgent care.
  • Call NHS 111 and press option 2 for urgent mental health support in most regions.
