With the 2026 season on the horizon, we are proud to unveil our special 150th Anniversary County Championship shirt, headlined by Principal Partner Woodland Group.
This unique shirt features our golden 150th Anniversary Crest, temporarily replacing the Essex badge on the front. On the back is a full list of all 22 grounds and venues that have hosted first-class Essex matches across the county - from Leyton to Ilford, Southend to Colchester, Brentwood to Chelmsford, and many more.
The shirt blends a traditional cricket style with subtle accents drawn from the Club’s historic colours of red, blue, and yellow. It proudly showcases our Principal Partners, Woodland Group as the main front-of-shirt sponsor and Price Forbes as the collar sponsor. Official Partners Industrial Chemicals Limited appear as the sleeve sponsor, with WeFinanceAnyCar.com featured on the back of the shirt.

When speaking on the shirt, Kevin Stevens, Woodland Group Chair and Chief Executive Officer, said: "To be associated with such a historic season, and to see the Woodland name on the County Championship shirt during this landmark year, is a real honour."
Manufactured by our official shirt partner Surridge, the shirt is on sale now from £30.00 at the Essex Cricket Shop and Online Store. Available in infant, junior, and adult sizes, this is your chance to own a truly one-of-a-kind Essex County Championship shirt. Purchase yours today and become part of the Club’s history!

As part of the kit launch, the shirt travelled across the county, visiting Chelmsford, Colchester, Southend, Brentwood and Leyton, where supporters showcased it at some of the county’s most iconic locations. These included Chelmsford Cathedral, Colchester Castle, Southend seafront, Brentwood's Old County Ground, and the historic Leyton Pavilion, where the Club played their inaugural first-class match against Leicestershire County Cricket Club in May 1894.
