Congratulations to the Essex Walking Cricket Team who won the walking cricket competition at Lord's.
A combined team of players from our Colchester and Chelmsford walking cricket hubs achieved a fantastic victory at Lords this week. The team competed against MCC, Middlesex and Surrey in a 16 over fast paced series. They played a total of 6 games throughout the day at the Lords indoor cricket centre. After losing their first two matches with a close margin, they fought back well to win the next 4 matches to win the competition overall.
Walking cricket is a slower paced format of the game aimed at men and women aged over 50. We currently have hubs at Chelmsford, Colchester and Leyton.
