The Graham Gooch Foundation has continued it's support for Essex Cricket's Pathways and Community Programmes.

The Graham Gooch Foundation, formerly known as the Graham Gooch Scholarship and now part of the Essex Cricket Foundation, has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting cricket across the county through continued investment in talent pathways and community initiatives.

Funding provided by the Graham Gooch Foundation will support the Essex Boys' and Girls' Academies, helping to nurture and develop the next generation of cricketers across the region. The funding will provide further support to the Essex Academies, helping the programme continue its long history of developing talent from across the region. It will also help widen access to the Academy and pathway programmes, while supporting the delivery of a high-performance winter and summer schedule.

The Foundation's contribution will also support the Leyton Hub project, which delivers vital cricket and community programmes in an area that welcomes more than 150,000 participants each year. The work delivered at Leyton, a facility where Graham Gooch himself grew up playing cricket, creates an inclusive and diverse programme of engagement, spanning pathway development, coach education, indoor competitions, visually impaired cricket and walking cricket.

The Hub provides a safe and welcoming environment for the game to grow, while strengthening Essex Cricket's connection to its East London home.

The ongoing support from the Graham Gooch Foundation plays an important role in strengthening Essex Cricket's pathway system and expanding opportunities for young people to engage with the game.

Everyone at Essex Cricket would like to thank Club Ambassador Graham Gooch OBE and the Graham Gooch Foundation for their continued backing and commitment to growing the game throughout the county.
