Essex Cricket Boys Talent Pathway Nominations 2026/2027

Nominations for the Boys Talent Pathway for 2026/2027 are now open.

The information below outlines player age groups, as well as the nomination and assessment process.

Player Age Groups

• U10 - School Year 5
• U11 - School Year 6
• U12 - School Year 7

*Please note - Players younger than School Year 5 are not eligible.

• U13 - School Year 8
• U14 - School Year 9
• U15 - School Year 10
• U16 - School Year 11
• U18 - School Years 12 & 13

Eligibility Criteria:

• Play for a cricket club within the county
• Go to school within the county
• Live within the county

Nominations:

• Cricket Clubs within the county
• Schools within the county
• Community Organisations within the county

Nomination Process:

Information regarding the Essex Talent Pathway and Talent Development Frameworks are available on the Essex Cricket website. Please read that information before completing the player nomination form.

Player Nominations should be submitted via the online form.

Player's age groups should be indicated based on the 2026/2027 Academic Year and NOT the current academic year (2025/2026)

Players who are currently part of a regional or county programme DO NOT need to be nominated. Please note, nominations for U16 & U18 Players will require some additional information.

The deadline to submit nominations is 5pm on Friday 31st July. Please note, nominations received after this date will not be accepted.

Assessment Process:

• U10-U12 age groups - assessments will include both softball and hardball cricket.
• U13-U18 age groups - assessments will be hard ball cricket only.
