Essex Cricket can confirm that Kate Coppack will leave the Club at the conclusion of the 2026 season to join Surrey.
The Chester-born bowler has played over 200 matches across formats and boasts a List A best of 6-28.
In her two seasons with Essex in Tier 1, Coppack has taken 32 wickets, including nine wickets in this year’s Vitality Blast.
During the regional era of women’s cricket, Coppack played all four years with Sunrisers, picking up 46 wickets for her side. In 2024, the right-arm fast bowler was named player of the match in the last Rachael Heyhoe-Flint Trophy Final as she took 4/27 against South East Stars.
A year later in 2025, Coppack played for London Spirit in the third edition of The Hundred. This year, she will move south of the river and join Kia Oval-based MI London before she becomes a permanent resident of the ground and Surrey this winter.
Everyone at Essex Cricket wishes Kate the best of luck in her future cricketing journey.
