Dear Essex Members,
I am writing to share an important update regarding the leadership of Essex County Cricket Club.
After careful consideration, I have made the decision to step down as Chair of the Board.
This has not been an easy decision, but I believe it is the right one for the Club. My greatest strength, passion and commitment has always been cricket itself, and I believe I can make the greatest contribution by focusing my time and energy on supporting our cricket programme and most importantly, the welfare and development of our players.
Essex County Cricket Club has a proud history and an exciting future. Our players, coaches, staff, volunteers and members all share a common goal—to see Essex succeed on and off the field. By stepping aside from the Chair’s role, I hope to ensure that the Club has the leadership structure best placed to meet the challenges ahead while allowing me to concentrate on the areas where I believe I can add the most value.
I want to thank my fellow Board members, our staff, and all those who give so much to this Club. It has been a privilege to serve as Chair, and I will remain on the Board and fully committed to Essex and its continued success.
Our members are the heart of this Club, and your views matter. I believe strong clubs are built on openness, respect and listening. I welcome your feedback, ideas and constructive suggestions as we continue to strengthen Essex County Cricket Club for future generations.
Thank you for your continued support, loyalty and passion for Essex. Together, we will continue to build a Club that our members, players and community can be proud of.
Yours sincerely,
Jason Gallian
