Essex Men welcome Yorkshire Men to the Ambassador Cruise Line Ground for their final Metro Bank One Day Cup fixture of the season.
On Sunday, Essex Men's Metro Bank One-Day Cup campaign came to an end with a 20-run defeat against Durham Men at Darlington.
The hosts posted 229 for five from their reduced 38 overs, with Colin Ackermann unbeaten on 80 and Ben Stokes hitting 43 from 27 balls.
Jamie Porter took two wickets as Durham slipped to 30 for three, but Ackermann and Kasey Aldridge steadied the innings with an unbeaten 103-run partnership.
Essex’s chase was led by Noah Thain, who scored 76 and passed 500 runs for the competition in the process. However, his dismissal with Essex 110 for five proved crucial.
Simon Harmer added 32 and Mackenzie Jones struck two late sixes, but James Minto’s three wickets helped Durham secure victory.
The result ends Essex’s hopes of reaching the knockout stages of the competition and now look to end the campaign on a high when they welcome Anthony McGrath's Yorkshire to Chelmsford.
Tom Huggins has named a 12-player squad for the clash against Yorkshire, coached by former Essex Head Coach Anthony McGrath.
Shane Snater has been rested ahead of the final stages of the season.

Why they can win the competition: They bossed Group B last year and lost only two games all competition, including the semi-final against Hampshire at Scarborough. They’ve been excellent in the Vitality T20 Blast as well this term, really building up that limited overs rhythm.
Player to watch: Will Luxton is a young batter who has shown a significant amount of promise across all formats and will be one of Yorkshire’s key batters in this competition. If he gets going, it will be fun to watch.
Young gun: Academy fast bowler Bradley Sylvester is somewhat of a wildcard. Has just been on England Under 19s duty against South Africa and probably won’t play every game. But the 19-year-old is expected to make his senior debut at some point.
Final thought: The ‘why they can win the competition’ section provides the glass half full view. The glass half empty view is that they have lost both last season’s leading run-scorer and leading wicket-taker, Imam-ul-Haq and Matt Milnes. Could be a problem.
Luc Benkenstein’s career-best List A score was not enough as Essex fell to a tense three-wicket defeat against Yorkshire Vikings in Scarborough.
Benkenstein struck 68 from 94 balls, while Robin Das matched him with 67, as the pair added 125 for the fourth wicket — a new Essex List A record against Yorkshire.
Their partnership helped Essex recover from 27 for three and post 243 for nine from their 50 overs, with Ben Coad and Ben Cliff taking three wickets apiece.
Yorkshire’s chase was led by James Wharton’s 71 and Shan Masood’s 58, before Tom Westley and Shane Snater helped bring Essex back into contention with the ball.
With Yorkshire needing 46 from the final eight overs, Dom Bess and Coad held their nerve to add an unbeaten 60 for the eighth wicket and secure victory with 13 balls remaining.
