Essex Women head to the cinch County Ground to take on Northamptonshire Steelbacks in the Vitality T20 Women's County Cup Quarter Finals
The women's squad will be heading out onto the pitch with one goal - get to their first Finals Day at Old Trafford.
Last time out, the squad faced Gloucestershire at Castle Park and saw an easy win against the Tier Two side. Led by Vice-Captain Eva Gray, the Women's team headed out to bat first. Jo Gardner (36) and Ariana Dowse (26 not out) both batted incredibly and came away as the top scorers for Essex.
The second innings saw an incredible ball from Sophie Munro who took the her wicket with the first ball of the 20 overs as Dowse took the catch. The side restricted Gloucestershire to just 133 with Kate Coppack and Esmae MacGregor both taking two wickets each.

After sustaining injuries against Somerset in the Metro Bank One Day Cup, unfortunately Amara Carr and Flo Miller will be sidelined for the remainder of the season.
We wish both Amara and Flo a speedy recovery.
