Essex Men have signed Lancashire wicket-keeper batter George Bell on loan for the remainder of the season.
The wicket-keeper batter joins on loan from Lancashire for the remainder of the season and will keep wicket as a substitute fielder for the rest of the ongoing Rothesay County Championship match against Sussex, after Michael Pepper sustained a thumb injury.
The Lancashire loanee will not be able to bat in the second innings of this fixture in line with the match regulations, but Pepper could still take to the field to bat if required.
Bell joins at short notice with back-up keepers Jordan Cox selected in the current England squad and Simon Fernandes out through injury.
