Essex Cricket can announce that Jodi Grewcock has won the August Player of the Month award.
Grewcock has been named Essex Women's Tiptree Player of the Month following a brilliant month which secured her 47% of the fan vote.
The all-rounder featured in all three matches last month. Dominating with the bat, Jodi smashed two half-centuries. The first against Somerset in the Metro Bank One Day Cup where she hit 87 runs off 101 deliveries and the second in the Vitality T20 Women's County Cup Quarter-Final where she was 59 not out against Northamptonshire Steelbacks Women. In total, Jodi whacked nineteen boundaries.
With the ball, Jodi bowled in two innings. The leg-spinner delivered 12 overs, conceding 48 runs. Within these overs, Grewcock took three wickets. These were bowled perfectly to get the batters caught out or caught behind. Jodi also took a catch to dismiss Northamptonshire Steelbacks Women's Mabel Reid for nothing off Sophie Munro's bowling.
