The Kelly Castle Cricket Academy will sponsor the 2027 U11 Kelly Castle Cup .
Essex Cricket in the Community (ECIC) is delighted to announce that the Kelly Castle Cricket Academy will be sponsoring the 2027 U11 Kelly Castle Cup. This partnership aims to get more young girls playing hardball cricket competitively.
Introduced in 2024, the 8-a-side competition gives U11 girls the opportunity to experience hardball cricket in a competitive environment. Previous winners of the competition include: Wanstead and Snaresbrook CC (2024), Copford CC and Kelvedon & Feering CC combined-team (2025) and Kelvedon & Feering CC (2026).
Kelly Castle, Founder and Head Coach of Kelly Castle Cricket Academy, said: "This is such an exciting time for girls’ cricket, and I’m incredibly proud that the Kelly Castle Cricket Academy is able to support this competition. I’ve always been passionate about giving back to the place where my own cricket journey began, so it’s particularly special to be involved. I’m really looking forward to seeing the next generation of young cricketers take this competition by storm!"
