Born in Chelmsford, Grace Rose Jacob-Melhuish is the Head of Talent Development for the Essex Women's team after joining the Club in November 2024, ahead of the transition into the Tier 1 structure.
Melhuish leads the identification and nurturing of promising female cricketers across the county, helping bridge the gap between youth and senior women's cricket.
In her previous role she was the Sunrisers Emerging Players Programme Lead Coach in the previous women's domestic model and former Essex Girls Performance Pathway Lead before she joined Essex Cricket ahead of the inaugural 2025 season for the professional Essex Women's team.
Grace has also had placements with The Hundred, England Under 19s and Lions environments.
