Essex Men will host Yorkshire Men in a two-day pre-season friendly ahead of the 2026 season.
The match will take place at the Ambassador Cruise Line Ground on Friday 27 and Saturday 28 March, as Chris Silverwood’s men face Anthony McGrath’s Yorkshire outfit, with both teams preparing for the 2026 campaign.
Further details, including the start time, will be released in due course; however, the Club can confirm that entry will be free of charge for spectators, without no tickets required.
An Essex Cricket memorabilia sale, featuring items past and present, will take place in the Doug Insole Pavilion on Day 2 (Saturday), alongside the opening of the Essex Cricket Museum’s 150th anniversary exhibition.
Like Essex, Yorkshire compete in the top flight of the Rothesay County Championship, and this match provides a great opportunity for both sides to test themselves ahead of their Division One campaigns.
