
For the first time this year, fans will be welcomed to the Ambassador Cruise Line Ground as Essex Men host Yorkshire Men in the final pre-season friendly ahead of the new season.
Following the Men's pre-season tour to South Africa, Chris Silverwood's group are set to host Anthony McGrath's Yorkshire in a two-day friendly starting on Friday 27 March. This friendly clash is the last of the 2026 preparations before the new season begins on Friday 03 April away to Hampshire.
10am - only the Main Gate will be open (via New Writtle Street). The River Gate will be closed.

Parking is not available at the Ambassador Cruise Line Ground or Meteor Way so please find alternate parking arrangements should you wish to arrive by car.

All bags will be searched upon entry to the ground. Please note that spectators are allowed to bring in one bottle of wine or champage (750mls) or four cans of beer/cider (500mls each).
No glass allowed on entry. Food and drink can be purchased from the Doug Insole Pavilion.
The only areas open during the two days are the Tom Pearce Upper & Lower stands, the Doug Insole Pavilion, and the Woodland Group stand - located next to the Pavilion. All of these areas are open to both Members and public, all other stands are closed.
An Essex Cricket memorabilia sale, featuring items past and present, will take place in the Doug Insole Pavilion on Day Two (Saturday) from 10am to 4pm. For more information on the memorabilia sale, please click here.
