Essex Cricket is pleased to announce a partnership with global drinks company Coca-Cola, to become the Club’s Official Hydration Partner through its Powerade brand.
The two-year agreement will see the Club supplied with Powerade drinks, branded bottles, and team bottle carriers for both the Essex Men’s and Essex Women’s teams throughout the 2026 and 2027 seasons.
Powerade is a leading global sports drink created by The Coca-Cola Company, designed to help athletes hydrate, refuel, and perform. Developed in 1988, it is scientifically formulated to support hydration and athletic performance by combining fluids, electrolytes, and carbohydrates.
On the agreement, Sheikh Hassan, Business Development Manager at Essex Cricket, said: “This is an exciting partnership for Essex Cricket and we are delighted to be working with Powerade.
“Powerade is a globally recognised brand, and their commitment to helping athletes achieve peak performance aligns perfectly with our ambitions across both our Men’s and Women’s first-team squads.
“Together, we are looking forward to enhancing performance on the pitch while continuing to grow our relationship and the positive impact it can have on our Members, supporters and wider community.”
As an isotonic drink developed with sports scientists, Powerade helps replenish the fluids and carbohydrates lost during exercise while supporting effective hydration. It contains electrolytes, which help maintain fluid balance, alongside carbohydrates that contribute to sustained performance during prolonged physical activity. Additionally, it contains Vitamin B6, which supports normal energy metabolism.
Coca-Cola Europacific Partners Regional Account Manager, Paul Waddell, added: “2026 continues to be another massive year in sport for Powerade. As part of our commitment to sport we are delighted to begin a partnership with one of the biggest clubs in county cricket.
“Powerade has always been committed to delivering the hydration athletes need to perform to the highest level, so we are excited that the Members and supporters of Essex County Cricket Club will be able to see our support for both the men’s and women’s teams throughout the next two seasons.”
