After sustaining an injury during Sunday's match against Lancashire Thunder, Essex Cricket can provide the following update on Cordelia Griffith.
Cordelia Griffith will undertake rehab with our medical team and will unfortunately be unavailable for the remainder of the season.
Essex Women's Head Coach, Stephen Parry said: "It is extremely sad for Cords and the team to lose her for the season. Going forward it will be a massive loss for everyone at the Club and we send our love and care to her and the family.
"As a team, we need use this trauma as fuel to keep us driving forward.
"We all wish Cords a full and healthy recovery and we look forward to seeing her again soon."
