Essex Cricket can announce that Charlie Allison has won the June Player of the Month award.
After securing nearly half of the supporters' vote, Allison has been named Essex Men's WeFinanceAnyCar.com Player of the Month following an impressive month of performances in both white and red-ball competitions.
Having featured in five matches during June (three T20s and two County Championship fixtures), Allison scored 253 runs from 303 balls faced. The 21-year-old registered three half-centuries, including 56 from 104 balls against Nottinghamshire in the County Championship, 61 from 37 balls against Middlesex at Merchant Taylors' School, and a career-best 74 from 47 balls against Kent Spitfires at the Ambassador Cruise Line Ground in the Blast, live on Sky Sports.
His performances included 19 fours and 12 sixes, while the young batter once again demonstrated his adaptability and skill in switching between formats during June.
