Anglian Water have announced a Temporary Use Ban (Hosepipe Ban) for the whole of their supply area (which includes Bedfordshire, Essex and Suffolk) The restrictions will be enforced from 1.01am on Saturday 11 July 2026.

It has been some time since Anglian Water last introduced a Temporary Usage Ban (2012). However, watering of pitches in use is permitted under health and safety exemptions but to maintain this exemption requires a change in watering practice (detailed in the toolkit below). Cricket Clubs will not need to register for an exemption.
