Essex Cricket are delighted to announce that Essex Men’s allrounder Noah Thain has signed a contract extension with the Club.
Thain, 21, has signed a three-year contract extension that will keep him at Essex until the end of the 2029 season.
After coming through the ranks from the Essex Academy in 2021, Thain has become a regular member of the Essex Men's squad across all three formats, establishing himself as a genuine middle-order all-rounder.
On signing his new deal, Thain said: "I am delighted to sign this new deal with the Club. From progressing through the Academy to becoming part of the first-team squad, I feel I have developed really well as a professional cricketer, and I'd like to thank all of the coaches who have played such an important role in my journey so far.
"Time has flown by since making my debut in 2023 and, although I am still young, I feel I have gained invaluable experience during my time at Essex. I know there is still plenty more to learn, and I am looking forward to continuing my development over the coming years.
"I am really excited to continue my journey with Essex Cricket. I will keep working as hard as I can, continue to push myself to improve every day, and hopefully help bring success to the Club, for our Members and supporters, for many years to come."
Cambridgeshire-born Thain has represented Essex in 22 first-class matches, scoring nearly 600 runs and taking 20 wickets. The right-hander has also featured in 19 List A and 17 T20 matches for the Club, continuing to develop as a lower-order batter and right-arm seamer, taking his tally to more than 50 professional appearances for Essex.
