Essex County Cricket Club are delighted to announce the signing of Grant Roelofsen for the forthcoming One Day Cup campaign.
The destructive right-handed wicket-keeper batter returns to the County having previously played for the Club during the 2022 edition of the competition, when he featured seven times and scored 355 runs at an average of 59 with a high score of 90.
Roelofsen has been playing for Billericay Cricket Club this summer, will make the short trip to Chelmsford to resume his Essex Cricket career and is available selection for the opening fixture against Middlesex at Radlett on Tuesday.
One Day Cup Head Coach, Tom Huggins, is thrilled with the arrival of Roelofsen: “We all saw how versatile Grant can be when he was here in 2022.
“His game is very adaptable, his explosive hitting is complemented by his ability to rotate the strike depending on the game situation.
“Grant’s addition brings depth to our batting line-up and we are excited to see him back in the dressing room this summer."
