Essex Cricket can announce that Esmae MacGregor has won the September Player of the Month award.
MacGregor has been named Essex Women's Tiptree Player of the Month following a brilliant bowling stint over the last four games of the season.
Esmae delivered 32 overs, including six maidens, across four innings this month. Averaging a 5.46 economy, MacGregor took seven wickets in September. Against Warwickshire, Esmae dismissed the openers by trapping Austin LBW and Ella Claridge catching Surenkumar. MacGregor then went onto taking the wicket of Surrey's King and Dhaliwal through a caught behind and bowling (respectively).
Three days later, the medium-fast bowler then caught and bowled Yorkshire Captain Lauren Winfield-Hill for a duck. Not satisfied with just one wicket, in partnership with Claridge who took the stumping, Esmae dismissed Duckworth. Finally, MacGregor took Essex Women's only wicket against The Blaze in the final game of the season by bowling out Tammy Beaumont.
