Our local Cricket Collective Awards winners were invited the Ambassador Cruise Line Ground on 6th September to our volunteer recognition event hosted in partnership with Cambridgeshire Cricket Board.
Taking in our Women’s Metro Bank one-day cup fixture against Surrey, over 60 people were in attendance in what turned out to be a fantastic day’s both on and off the field, with some interesting and exciting cricket on display.
Our guests were presented with their awards and enjoyed lunch and tea as recognition for their fantastic contribution across the recreational game.
The ECB Cricket Collective Awards (formally NatWest OSCAs) are aimed at recognising those volunteers in the recreational game of cricket who give so much of their time to the sport – without these individuals the game would not survive. The awards provide an ideal opportunity for saying thank you to our volunteers for their incredible work and celebrate their success with them.

Ben Wallis, Director of Network Operations at Essex Cricket in the Community, commented: “We are recognising an incredibly talented, dedicated and passionate group of volunteers. All these volunteers have made a huge difference to their clubs, leagues and communities, developing exciting opportunities within the recreational game across the county. The day was a small thank you to the team of volunteers who contribute so much to this great game.”
