

Born in Maidstone, Kent, Grace Elizabeth Scrivens is the Essex Women’s captain and a young but experienced left-handed opening batter and right-handed off-spinner.
Scrivens represented England Women Under 19s at the inaugural Women’s Under 19s World Cup in 2023 and captained the England Women A T20 side for their tour to Australia at the start of the 2025 season. In June 2025, Scrivens was named as the England A captain for the multi-format white-ball series against New Zealand.
In the 2025 domestic campaign for Essex Women, Scrivens scored 643 runs in 25 innings which included one half-century and two centuries. Her high score of 120 not out away against The Blaze won her the Women’s Performance of the Year award at the 2025 End of Season Awards.
Scrivens was also named as the 2025 Women’s Player of the Year and Players’ Player of the Year.
