Sophia Ann Elizabeth Smale, born in Newport Wales, is a left-arm off-spinning all-rounder who has a keen passion for cricket.
Sophia is the younger sister of Glamorgan wicketkeeper-batter Will Smale and represented Wales’ youth teams before taking the field for the Western Storm in the former domestic structure.
The Welsh youngster been selected for multiple England Women Under 19s tours and has appeared in The Hundred competition with the Oval Invincibles since 2022.
In the 2025 season, the ambidextrous all-rounder, bowling left-arm but batting right-handed, took 18 wickets and scored 400 runs batting at both the top of the order and lower down.
