Ben Charles Wallis, born in Welwyn Garden City, is the Director of Network Operations at Essex Cricket in the Community and also the Essex Women's Wicket-Keeper Coach.
Wallis' role includes leading the support and development of wicket-keepers within the Emerging Players Programme, Women's Academy and 1st XI squads both in matchday and training environments.
Before joining the Club in 2022, Ben worked with Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire across a ten year period.
Aside from his coaching role with the Essex Women, Wallis' role as the Director of Network Operations for Essex Cricket in the Community sees him lead on the operational side of the Community team. Part of this role includes leading the development of coaches across the recreational cricket network through Essex's Community Coach Development Programme as well as working alongside neighbouring counties.
