
Harry Roy McQueen, born in Harold Wood, Greater London, is Essex Cricket's Head of Sports Science & Medical Services. He is a qualified strength and conditioning coach accredited by the UK S&C Association who has been with the Club for several years.
Since graduating with a Master's degree from the University of East London in 2015 he first joined Essex as the Lead Strength & Conditioning Coach in 2017. In his first season, he led player preparation as they headed into Division One cricket for the 2017 season.
In January 2023, McQueen's role expanded when he was appointed the Club's Head of Sports Science & Medical Services - leading the medical department with the help of Lead Physiotherapist Bertie Linnell.
Additionally, that year Harry served as the London Spirit's Strength & Conditioning Coach for The Hundred.
As part of the Club’s medical team, Harry works closely with Lead Physiotherapist, Bertie Linnell, Second XI and Academy Physiotherapist, Pavel Samsonov, and Essex Women’s Senior Strength & Conditioning Coach, Rosie Lowles.
