Gowtham Sanga blasted 81 from just 54 balls as Oakfield Parkonians defeated Buckhurst Hill at Felsted School to successfully defend their Brian Taylor Trophy title.
2023 champions Oakfield piled up 265-4 in 30 overs after winning the toss and electing to bat, with captain Riyan Parmar hitting a 49-ball 53 in support of Sanga’s pyrotechnics.
Idrees Ali top-scored for Buckhurst Hill in response with a fluent 53 from 57 balls, but the chase fell comfortably short, finishing on 170-7.
Pratheep Prabakaran led the way with the ball for Parkonians in defending their target, returning figures of 3/34 from five overs.
