Essex’s Championship hunt set to resume next week


Essex follow lengthy spell of white ball cricket, the return of the Specsavers County Championship is imminent with just a week to go until Somerset visit The Cloudfm County Ground for another curcial 4 days of cricket.

The team are still sitting pretty on top of the Division One table and Monday’s match will be followed by three trips on the road, before final game agaist Yorkshire, at home in late September.

Tickets for the match are on sale now, priced £13 Adults and £10 Students/Young Adults. Junior tickets for Day One of the match on Monday are just £1, with a opportunity to bring the family down to watch Essex in action on the Bank Holiday.


After the conclusion of the Royal London One-Day Cup and NatWest T20 Blast competitions, Chris Silverwood’s team are now fully focused on the Championship run-in and continue the unbeaten run this season.
