Championship trophy visits West Ham United

Essex Cricket players and staff, accompanied by the Division One trophy, visited the London Stadium on Saturday to see West Ham defeat Swansea City.

Following the recent Championship success, the trophy continued its roadshow, pitching up pitch side at the Premier League stadium and being paraded for all the Hammers fans.

Lifelong West Ham fan Jamie Porter was the star of the show being interviewed pitch side and he was accompanied by other squad members Varun Chopra, Aaron Beard, Matt Dixon and Aron Nijjar.

Porter commented: “I always love coming down to the London Stadium to watch my team play but to be able to bring the Division One trophy down and receive applause from these fans, makes today extra special.

“It has been a whirlwind season that I will never forget and to win this trophy for the first time in 25 years is incredible. Hopefully now West Ham can add a trophy as well to make it an even more special season and year!”

The Division One trophy will be coming to a venue near you soon so keep your eyes peeled!
