After yesterday’s victory at the Kia Oval completed a busy international summer with a 4-1 win over India in the Specsavers Test Series, the England management have asked for the majority of the squad to take a break before winter trips to Sri Lanka and West Indies.
Player availability:
Alastair Cook, along with Joe Root, Jonny Bairstow, Adil Rashid, Ben Stokes, Jos Buttler and Chris Woakes have all been made unavailable and won’t play in any of the remaining Specsavers County Championship fixtures.
Sam Curran and Ollie Pope are both available to play for Surrey in their remaining fixtures against Somerset and Essex.
Moeen Ali is available to play for Worcestershire in their final fixture against Yorkshire from September 24-27, but not for the upcoming game at Essex.
