Essex County Cricket Club are delighted to announce that fast bowler, Matt Quinn, has signed a contract extension and will remain with the Club until at least the end of the 2021 season.
The 26-year-old is enjoying his first full campaign since recovering from a serious back injury, and has featured in four matches for Anthony McGrath’s side this season.
Quinn is elated and said: “I’m really excited to sign an extension and I’m really thankful to the Club for putting their faith in me after the injury I had a few years back.
“I’m back playing again now and enjoying my cricket, and hopefully I’ll be able to repay the trust shown in me by the Club with plenty of wickets over the next two seasons.”
Essex Head Coach Anthony McGrath said: “I’m delighted that Quinny has put pen to paper on a new deal. Although he’s had his injury problems, we know he’s a quality bowler and is very much part of our future plans in bringing some silverware to The Cloudfm County Ground.”
