Match Pack: Essex v Yorkshire

Warwickshire are the visitors to Chelmsford in the Specsavers County Championship this weekend. The match, previously scheduled for Worcestershire’s New Road but swapped due to flooding, starts on Saturday at The Cloudfm County Ground and is an opportunity to put further pressure on leaders, Somerset who head to Yorkshire.

Jamie Porter is set to miss the match following his call-up to the England Lions, providing an opportunity for another bowler to take their chance. 19-year-old, Ben Allison is in contention after being named in the squad with Matt Quinn also part of the 13-man squad and pushing for that number 11 spot.

Timings (subject to change):

Gates open at 10am for all spectators with play set to get underway at 11am. News from the toss will come at 10:30am on Day One but Play Regulations permit the away side to have an uncontested toss and bowl first, should they wish.

1pm-1:40pm: Lunch
1:40pm-3:40pm: Session Two
3:40pm-4pm: Tea Break
