The Essex Cricket Annual Golf Day is set to return on Monday 20th June with various Essex players past and present in attendance. The event will be held at Benton Hall Golf & Country Club and will include a Ploughman’s lunch, 18 holes of golf with a shotgun start and an evening BBQ.
Last year, the day was thoroughly enjoyed by all. The team from Club Partners Tiptree prevailed on the day, with Greene King coming in as a close second. After much speculation as to which cricketer knew their way around a golf course, Jamie Porter put together an excellent round, taking the award for Best Individual.
The tournament consists of multiple four-ball golf teams, with partners attending as a team of four colleagues or three colleagues with an Essex Player taking the final spot.
