Rossington set for brief stint in the PSL

Adam Rossington is set to continue his winter of global franchise cricket after signing up to play for the Pakistan Super League team Karachi Kings.

The move to Karachi Kings for PSL8 caps off a busy winter for the wicket-keeper-batter who arrives in Pakistan from South Africa where he won the SA20 competition with Sunrisers Eastern Cape.

Rosso landed in Islamabad on Monday and will go straight into the squad for Wednesday’s match against Peshawar Zalmi. He is a temporary three-match replacement for Hampshire’s James Vince at the Kings who has linked up with the England ODI squad in Bangladesh.

The Karachi Kings are one of the top teams in the Pakistan Super League and Rossington’s power-hitting at the top of the order and his adeptness behind the stumps make him an ideal addition to the Kings’ squad.

Rossington follows former Eagles Ravi Bopara and Mohammad Amir to have played for the Karachi Kings, with Dan Lawrence the most recent Essex player to feature in the tournament after his stint last year with Quetta Gladiators.
