The Essex First Team landed in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday morning ready to begin two weeks of warm-weather training to prepare for the 2023 season.
Red and white-ball fixtures against Somerset have been scheduled, as well as intra-squad fixtures and a variety of intense training programmes.

• Friday 10 March: 2 x T20 matches v Somerset
• Sunday 12 March: Intra-squad T20 match
• Wednesday 15 March: Intra-squad game (red-ball)
• Friday 17 – Saturday 18 March: Two-day red-ball match v Somerset
