Ronnie Jackson called up for England Men’s LD tour

Essex’s Ronnie Jackson has been included in England Men’s Learning Disability tour squad for a tri-series against South Africa and Australia in November.

The series, which will take place in South Africa, will see each of the three competing nations play each other three times at the Groenkloof Oval in Pretoria.

After a week of group-stage competition, the final between the top two countries will then take place at SuperSport Park in Centurion.

Jackson has been a member of the Essex Ability set-up since 2011, hitting almost 1,500 runs with a top score of 123 not out.

This season, he amassed a total of 107 runs in five matches with a top score of 53, made in a four-wicket win over Surrey.

He was also part of the victorious Hawks side that won the Disability Premier League this summer, hitting 50 runs across four innings.

England’s first warm-up match is on 10th November against Australia, before the two sides lock horns again two days later in the first of the Three Lions’ competitive outings in the series.
