Essex Cricket is pleased to advise that long-planned changes to the leadership of the Club’s Board have taken effect.
Anu Mohindru KC has been appointed as Chair on a permanent basis, replacing Sir Stephen O’Brien, who had been in the role on an interim basis and will now remain as a member of the Board.
Current Board member Victoria Keil has stepped into the position of Deputy Chair, vacated by Anu, marking her first appointment to the leadership of the Board.
Victoria holds a BSc and an MSc in fields of psychology, as well as a CIPD qualification, and she has also completed the Executive Leadership Programme from the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
She is an experienced People Director and Coach who partners with early-stage start-ups and scale-ups to build and execute on great people strategy, operations, infrastructure, and culture.
Both Anu and Victoria were voted on to their current positions on the Board by the Club’s Members at the AGM in November 2022, with Anu taking over as interim deputy chair a month later.
On his appointment, Anu said: “I’m honoured to take on this appointment at an important time for the Club.
“I would like to extend my huge appreciation to Sir Stephen for all he has done while in the interim role, and I will be looking to build on his efforts.
“As shown this summer, the Club is in a good place on the field, and I am looking forward to working together with our Members to make sure we can be an equally positive influence in our community as well.”
