George Wild hit an unbeaten 46 in 36 deliveries to steer Coggeshall Town to the final of the Sir Alastair Cook T20 Cup with a comprehensive eight-wicket win over Chingford.
Chasing just 71 to win, set after Harry Martin had led the Coggeshall attack in taking figures of 3/19, Wild contributed almost two thirds of the required runs as the chase was completed in just 10.1 overs.
Wild hit ten fours in his knock, beating the six that the entire Chingford team combined managed, for whom only Eddie Leuillette and Mano Biswas made it into the teens.

Azlan Kumar top-scored with 23 as Harold Wood chased down a target of 64 to record a seven-wicket win over Frenford and advance to the final of the Sir Alastair Cook T20 Cup.
Kumar hit his runs in 18 balls and underpinned a comfortable chase that was successful in 10.2 overs to follow up on four Harold Wood bowlers all claiming two wickets apiece.
Only Rome Bopara and Fuzail Bacha made it to double figures for Frenford, who were easily seen off in the chase despite Zayn Hussain admirably fighting back in returning 1/25 from his four overs.

George Wild continued his fine individual day by striking a swift 72 as Coggeshall Town lifted the 2024 Sir Alastair Cook T20 Cup with a 52-run win over Harold Wood.
Wicketkeeper Wild hammered his runs in just 52 balls and found helpful support from captain Joey Blackwell, who made a 27-ball 41, as Coggeshall piled up 167-5.
In response, Idrees Hakeem put up a fight by hitting 23, but two wickets apiece for all of Alex Bond, Benedict Clarke, and Tom Golding bowled Harold Wood out for 115.
