Quadruple Essex representation in 2025 ILT20

Jordan Cox, Adam Rossington, Michael Pepper, and 2024 overseas man Daniel Sams will all provide Essex representation at the upcoming edition of the International League T20 in the UAE.

The 2025 edition of the competition, which will take place across three venues in the Middle Eastern country between 11 January and 9 February, will be its third iteration.

Cox, Pepper, and Sams have all been retained by Gulf Giants, Abu Dhabi Knight Riders, and Sharjah Warriorz, respectively, while Rossington has been signed for a first stint by Dubai Capitals.

Both Cox and Pepper enjoyed productive seasons with their respective franchises last time out, with the latter hitting 229 runs and the former notching 215.

Sams was also among the last competition’s leading wicket-takers, snaring 12 victims at 21.83 to place joint-fourth in those standings.

Rossington, meanwhile, has never featured in the competition, but does have past experience of playing in the UAE, having been part of Chennai Braves’ squad in the Abu Dhabi T10.
