Feroze Khushi to leave Essex

Batter Feroze Khushi will leave Essex upon the conclusion of his contract at the end of this month.

Khushi, 25, has played 65 matches in all formats for the Eagles since making his debut in a Bob Willis Trophy match at home to Kent in August 2020.

He is a product of the Essex Academy, and was voted Second XI Player of the Year after a 2017 season that saw him score 718 runs.

The Whipps Cross-born opener has scored 1,922 runs in Essex colours, with an all-formats best score of 164, made in a 2022 County Championship match at Kent.

Jason Gallian, Chair of the Cricket Committee, said: “It’s always a shame when you have to part company with a player, but it is a good opportunity for Feroze to have a fresh start elsewhere.

“Although his professional future lies away from The Cloud County Ground, everyone at Essex Cricket wishes Feroze the best in his future endeavours.”
