Following the departure of Director of Cricket Anthony McGrath, the recruitment process for a replacement is underway.
The vacancy that the Club are looking to fill is the same Director of Cricket role previously held by McGrath, with the duties set to remain the same.
Essex Cricket are looking to appoint an ambitious and inspirational individual who will oversee the development and on-field success of the professional teams.
A background of success at the elite level, as well as the ambition to develop players to reach their maximum potential and deliver lasting memories of success to the Club are seen as vital attributes.
Jason Gallian, Chair of the Cricket Committee at Essex Cricket, said: “We want to be competitive on the field, so we want the person that comes to give us that new voice and character to keep the players competitive and successful on the field.
“We definitely want someone who has experience, but looking at the big picture, our primary aim is to see success on the field, starting with the men’s first XI, and then overseeing the professional women’s game too.”
If you meet the requirements of the role and are interested in applying, please visit the Club’s vacancies page here, where a link to the full job description and details of how to apply are available.
Applications will close on Thursday 31 October, with the interview process taking place during November.
In the interests of ensuring a fair process, the Club will make no further comment on recruitment for the Director of Cricket position at this time.
