Essex Cricket welcomed former player Keith Pont back to The Cloud County Ground on Friday. Keith was the special guest at the first Members’ Christmas Lunch of the season, sharing stories from his time at Essex and reflecting on his cricketing career.
In a special interview with a legend of the Club, Keith reminisced about the highlights of his playing days, including being part of Essex’s golden era in the 1980s, when the Club dominated English cricket. From winning the County Championship in 1979 to facing the likes of Garry Sobers and Viv Richards, Keith looked back on a special time in his life.
